Fresh is in our name. So we're all about fresh flavors at Nalley Fresh. Finding FRESH flavor dynamics in the flavor lab means combining inspiration and expertise with spices that are thousands of years old. Like "Aleppo pepper" that hails from northern Syria.
There was a time when wars were fought over spices, and history buffs know that spices in the ancient world were as precious as silver and gold. Great news! No bloodshed will be needed to get the ultimate variety of fresh new flavors. Just come on down to one of Nalley's 6 locations, with 2 on the way!
Named after the city in northern Syria, Aleppo pepper is often used in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes. This unique spice comes from pods which are dried, de-seeded and ground down to a rich red color.
Semi-fruity and not too hot, Aleppo pepper is a tad salty with hints of vinegar and cumin. You'll notice it in the back of your mouth, with a slight tickle to your through that goes away in a zip.
Try it instead of regular crushed chilies on pizzas, salads, chili, and pasta. And use it to bring authenticity to any Middle Eastern or Mediterranean dish.
